Clear aligners compared: Angel Aligners vs Invisalign
At Splash Orthodontics, we’ve been helping our patients achieve straighter, healthier smiles with Invisalign for many years. Led by specialist orthodontist Dr Iain Hoeltschi, an Invisalign Diamond Provider, our team has built a reputation for delivering exceptional results with this discreet alternative to fixed braces.

Now, we’re excited to introduce Angel Aligners as a new option for our patients. With fantastic features and benefits, Angel Aligners offer a fresh alternative for those looking for an effective, comfortable and subtle way to straighten their teeth.
But are Angel Aligners and Invisalign the same? Let’s explore their similarities and differences to help you decide which treatment is right for you.
Similarities between Angel Aligners and Invisalign
Discreet and comfortable
Both Angel Aligners and Invisalign are virtually invisible, making them an excellent option if you prefer a subtle approach to orthodontic treatment. They are custom-made to fit your teeth, ensuring comfort throughout your journey.
Removable convenience
Unlike traditional braces, both aligner systems are removable. This means you can enjoy your favourite foods without restrictions and keep up with your oral hygiene routine by brushing and flossing as normal.
Customised treatment plans
Both brands use advanced digital technology to create tailored treatment plans. Your orthodontist will map out your tooth movements step by step, ensuring precise and predictable results.
Key differences between Angel Aligners and Invisalign
Brand presence
Invisalign is a globally recognised brand with a long history, while Angel Aligners are newer to the market but rapidly gaining popularity for their innovative approach. We’re proud to be one of the first orthodontic practices in Brighton & Hove to offer Angel Aligners to our patients.
Aligners
At first glance, both aligners look similar, but there are subtle differences. Angel Aligners are slightly thinner and feature anti-staining technology, helping them stay clearer for longer. Angel Aligner also trims and polishes the edges of its aligners for extra comfort.
Treatment approach
With Invisalign, you’ll typically switch to a new set of aligners every 10 days. In comparison, Angel Aligners are changed every seven days (or as advised by your orthodontist).
For more complex cases, Angel Aligner Pro offers a two-phase approach at each stage:
- A flexible aligner worn for the first seven days, designed for enhanced comfort
- A more rigid aligner worn for the next three days, maximising efficiency and control
